The Amarone Reading Program

At The Amarone Charitable Trust, we believe that literacy is the cornerstone of a brighter future. That is why we are proud to support The Amarone Reading Program, created in partnership with Bright Sparks Education, to bring essential reading resources and support to primary school students across Barbados.
One of the highlights of the program is our stationery and workbook donation initiative, which provides children with the tools they need to strengthen their reading skills. In a recent presentation, Brandon Dowell of Bright Sparks Education awarded a prize to young student Liam Pierce — a moment that reflects the program’s commitment to motivating and rewarding progress in literacy.
In classrooms like Bay Primary, our dedicated teachers bring the program to life, engaging students through carefully designed reading activities that not only build fluency but also inspire a love for learning. The joy on students’ faces as they participate in these activities reminds us why this work is so important.
Through this initiative, we aim to bridge educational gaps, empower young learners, and create opportunities for them to succeed academically and beyond.
