The Amarone Charitable Trust was established in 2014 with the aim to find solutions and provide assistance for needs that weren’t being met in the global community, with a specific focus on Barbados---

Athletics

Athletics

Sports have the remarkable ability to transcend barriers, fostering discipline, teamwork, and personal growth. Through our Athletics pillar, we harness the power of sports to cultivate healthier lifestyles, promote unity, and nurture dreams. From community-wide sports events to training programs that empower young athletes, we’re committed to igniting a passion for sports that extends far beyond the playing field.

We believe that every amateur athlete has the right to be the best that he or she can be despite his or her circumstance. We aim to support and provide opportunities for young athletes who show promise and are passionate, giving them access to additional training, high level coaches, and the implementation of a program that otherwise could not be undertaken.

Excel in Sports Initiative

This initiative was created in Barbados in 2016 with the aim to develop athletes that will represent Barbados with distinction at international competitions, particularly the World Commonwealth and Olympics Games. Thus far, it has assisted athletes in the following disciplines: track and field, tennis, paddle board and swimming.

Youth Basketball Camps

We look to support initiatives such as VK Basketball, which is a Vancouver-based club program for youth players that offers all of its services free of charge. The aim of this club is to provide leading coaching and tournament travel for the development of the athletes.

Canadian Girls’ Rugby

Our efforts have also assisted the British Columbia Elite Girl’s Sevens (BCEG7s) which aims to help develop young athletes into the rugby players who will be best qualified to represent Canada with distinction at future Olympic Games and on the World Rugby 7s circuit.

We are always looking for more charitable initiatives that may need a helping hand. Does this sound like you?
